About Yara:

Yara Faqeeh is a 23-year-old Palestinian artist from Jerusalem, holding a degree in Contemporary Visual Arts from Birzeit University. Since her childhood, Yara has had a passion for drawing, arts, and photography. Growing up under occupation, her artwork reflects the resilience and spirit of the Palestinian people, using her skills to highlight the social and political issues faced by her community.

Yara’s Artistic Journey and Vision:

Inspired by her siblings, Yara began drawing at a young age and explored various techniques and mediums, including pencil, charcoal, oil, acrylic, watercolor, and digital art. University further broadened her artistic horizons, introducing her to sculpture, photography, video art, and performance art. Yara's work often tackles social and political themes, creating projects about the separation wall, the sounds of occupation, and the experiences of Palestinian women.
